I don’t understand why this continues to happen. I really don’t.
The first thing a recruiter should do every morning is to complete any action items with their current active pipeline. Recruiters should have an organized way of knowing who needs an update.
Candidate needs feedback from their interview? Give them the feedback. Don’t have feedback from the interview team? Tell the candidate that! Let them know you will be making it a priority to get the feedback from the team.
Waiting for the coordinator to reach out to get them scheduled? Email the candidate and let them know you will sync with the coordinator!
Hiring manager wants to wrap up interviews with a couple of more candidates who are already scheduled? Tell them that!
After you are done with your pipeline action items, go through your applicants and respond to them!
This should happen every morning. Recruiting is about structure, discipline and communication. Over communicate!
Get back to your candidates. Respond to your applicants. Drive positive candidate experiences.
